New study shows immense contribution of Technion graduates to Israeli industry
A new study by the Samuel Neaman Institute translates the immense contribution of Technion graduates to Israeli industry into numbers.
The study was cited by Technion President, Prof. Peretz Lavie, at this year’s graduation ceremony, and its results are quite impressive.
Over the last 20 years, Technion graduates have created almost 100,000 work places in the Israeli industry. Having been involved in the founding of 1,602 companies, they have contributed to generating a total income of over 30 billion dollars.
The department of Electrical Engineering is mentioned as the top contributor to this achievement – 35% of the Technion graduates who founded or ran companies are EE graduates.
